Apologies for the length of time it took to get this information out – things have been hectic this spring!
The Booker T. Washington High School Band would like to offer the following students a position on the 2026-27 Color Guard team:

If you were not selected:
Please come see any band director in the band room to pick up your deposit and sign off that it was returned.
We need selected students and parents to do a few things to reserve their spot on the team!
- MEETING 5/4/26: All students that were selected plus a parent/guardian should plan to attend a meeting with us in the band room on Monday, May 4th at 6pm. We’ll discuss policies and procedures regarding fees, rehearsals, performances, grades, and anything else that comes up. We will also take each student’s measurements so we can order their field uniform.
- UNIFORM DEPOSIT: Students should have paid $100 for their audition deposit to go toward their fees for the 26-27 school year. Please bring an additional $50 (for a total of $150 paid) to go toward each student’s first fee payment of 2026-27. This money will be used to pay for student field uniforms, which will be ordered within a few weeks. Future fee due dates will be outlined at the meeting on 5/4! You can bring cash or money order to the meeting, or possibly pay online through CutTime if your ledger is set up!
- MEASURING FOR YOUR UNIFORM: All students should wear clothing that will facilitate our uniform coordinator’s ability to take a student’s measurements so we can custom order their uniforms. Please avoid thick, bulky clothing!
- CUTTIME: Please keep an eye out on your phone and/or email for a message from the band through CutTime – this is the program we use to track student/grown-up contact info, fees, events, volunteer positions, etc. There’s no app to download and it’s a simple set-up to get messages. You should start receiving those today or tomorrow as I import your info into CutTime.
