2026 Marching Band Camp is not going to be like our normal camp due to the band room still being unavailable. We planned to use our football field and then retreat to Workman’s band and chorus rooms when it was time to go indoors, but the district had plans for both rooms that left us rescheduling at the last minute. We apologize for the late notice. Admin is allowing us to use the auditorium for the indoor portions of camp, but we have to work around events already scheduled there.
2026 Marching Band Camp Dates:
- July 23-24 8am-2pm – outside and in the BTWHS auditorium
- July 27-29 8am-3pm – outside and in the BTWHS auditorium
- July 30-31 8am-12pm – outside and in the BTWHS auditorium
Who is expected to attend:
Required of all wind, percussion, and guard students in the Booker T. Washington High School Band. Please report to the BTWHS auditorium BEFORE 8am so you’ll be ready to start outside BY 8!
Wear:
Everyone should wear light colored athletic clothing, including shoes (no sandals, Crocs, or slides). We recommend hats with floppy brims to keep you in a little bit of shade and sunscreen! Other optional items: cooling towels, neck fans, floppy hats
Bring:
Every student should bring their instrument/equipment, any music you’ve been given, something for lunch (you will not be allowed to leave campus or have Door Dash delivered), and an insulated, refillable water jug. WE DO NOT HAVE CUPS FOR STUDENTS! We will have refills for the water bottles/jugs they bring from home.
