Who is invited?
- Any BTWHS Marching Band student that does not owe fees from previous school years
- These students may bring one guest
- Any BTWHS Band Booster Board member or committee chair
- These adults may also bring one guest!
What does it cost?
Every person attending the party must bring a new, unwrapped toy to donate for party admission. That’s one toy donation from each student, board member, and guest attending the party.
Where do the donated toys go?
We always donate our toys to the local charity Truth for Youth. The founder, Rev. Powell, passed away this past year, but his son plans to come pick up our donations this year. All donations will be given away to children right here in northwest Florida that might not receive anything otherwise.
When is the party?
Friday, December 12 6pm-8pm in the BTWHS Cafeteria
All party attendees should park on the cafeteria side of campus and enter the building through doors on that side. The campus will not be open to park by the band room and cross the atrium. Exceptions are made for volunteers that arrive early to set up!
What happens at the party?
The boosters are providing dinner; we’ll eat and listen to holiday music. There will be room for dancing, but only when we aren’t running the annual BTWHS Band Holiday Party Musical Chairs game. Musical chairs has never been more serious, y’all. We’ll also have an ugly holiday sweater contest!
It’s a great time to hang out, eat, and make memories without the pressure of a performance. We highly recommend attending if you’re able!
Volunteers
We will need help decorating before the party – please see the volunteer signups if you’re able to help us out there. We will need a few folks to help serve dinner, as well. We will expect everyone in attendance to help us at the end of the party to clear up tables and leave the cafeteria clean and tidy. If everyone helps it won’t take more than 10 minutes!
