Do you need volunteers?
ALWAYS! We’ll need folks to help at the uniform racks when the kids get dressed and will need some eagle-eyed folks to stand by when they try to slop their very expensive uniform back on the hanger and run out the door once it’s over. I’ve asked the office to request that the AC be set by our HVAC angels downtown to be on in the band room, gym, and atrium, but if the chiller is out…schedules don’t matter. So having some folks on hand to make sure nobody gets wobbly is good, too. There will be a lot of instructions of “shortest to tallest – c’mon, I know y’all have eyeballs” and the like. Anyone that can gently redirect students to go/stay where they’re supposed to be would be ideal. Can you help? I know you want to after THAT description! What are these pictures for?
These pictures will be featured in the Quarterback Club’s program that they will sell at all home games. This event is scheduled and booked by the Quarterback Club and we are told when to report. We do not know who the photographer will be.
Who’s having their picture taken?
In the past, they’ve taken individual pics of seniors (boosters buy space in the program to feature our seniors), sometimes they take pics of sections, and they always take a full band picture.
Can we buy these pictures?
The photographer usually offers packages to purchase prints of pics they take. If we receive the info before picture day we’ll send it out ASAP. If not, they also offer order forms or QR codes to scan in the gym during pics.
My student can’t make it 8/5!
If your student is unable to attend there are no make-up days for the full band picture. If your student is a senior and would still like to be included in the program you will have to contact the photographer (we’ll get that info out with ordering info once we have it) to make arrangements for a session.
Parent ads for the QB Club program
Want to place an ad in the football program about your awesome band kid? Baby pictures, embarrassing nicknames, or “we love you” notes are all fair game. The QB club hasn’t gotten us any information about this yet, but they’re supposed to be standing by in the gym to take orders during pictures.
BTWHS Band Letterman Jacket Ordering!
Coach Hess will be in the gym on picture day (8/5) to accept orders and deposits for letterman jackets. He will have samples on hand for students to try on to guarantee they get the correct size.
Band Letters
All students in band earn their letter after 1 year in the program. These are usually presented at the end of the year and the cost is inluded in your fees.
Why now? It’s 110 degrees outside!
The turn around time for these jackets is between 8-10 weeks. I know that thinking about coats right now makes *me* want to cry, but if we order them now they’ll be here once these hellish temps are in the past. (I really, really hope so, anyway!)
How much?
Band letter jackets start out at $115 and go up based on any options you add.
