Summer 2023 Band Dates!

Color Guard Camp, part 1

5/30/23-6/02/23 8am-2pm in the BTWHS band room
Required of all color guard students, rain or shine. Attendance and attitude at summer camps and rehearsals will affect student’s status in the field for halftime and in the stands at games. Please make plans to attend and fully participate in all camps and rehearsals!
We will begin learning & drilling skills to prepare for the halftime show.
Guard Camp protips:

  • Wear light-colored athletic clothing – including shoes.
    • No jeans, no sandals, no slides, no Crocs.
  • Wear a hat and sunscreen – there’s no shade out on the driver’s ed range! Bring the sunscreen to reapply.
  • Eat a healthy breakfast before you arrive – you can’t do this on an empty stomach!
    • REMEMBER: Garbage in, garbage out! Garbage out is GROSS.
  • Pack a healthy lunch. Students are not allowed to leave campus for lunch – this is a district rule.
  • Bring an insulated, refillable water jug with your name on it. This is REQUIRED. We have coolers of ice water for refills but do not supply cups – it’s a huge waste of time and resources.

Drumline Camp

Wind and percussion players will begin learning and drilling music. They should bring their instrument, music, and water jug – hydration is important!
Guard and majorette students will be drilling skills and work. They should wear PE-style clothes and shoes and bring their water jug – hydration is important!
