Our annual volunteer training meetings are coming up, and every adult over the age of 21 who plans to volunteer with the BTWHS Band in any capacity during the 2026–27 school year must attend one training session.
This includes adults who plan to:
- Chaperone band trips or events
- Earn student fee discounts through home football game concessions
- Work with the equipment crew
- Work with our students in any capacity
- Volunteer with the BTWHS Band Boosters
- Serve on a booster committee
- Participate in any other band-related volunteer activity
This requirement also applies to badged school district employees. Our school administration requires every volunteer—including district employees—to complete the same volunteer requirements as non-employees.
Choose ONE Training Session
Wednesday, August 19 at 6:00 PM
Saturday, August 22 at 10:00 AM
Tuesday, August 25 at 6:00 PM
All three sessions will be held in the BTWHS Band Room. The Chorus Room will serve as our backup location if necessary.
What We’ll Cover
Our training will cover the policies, procedures, and expectations that apply to both our volunteers and our students. We’ll also go over the practical information you’ll need throughout the year, including:
- Where volunteers should park
- How to sign up for volunteer opportunities
- What to wear for different volunteer positions
- How the $50 student fee discounts are earned
- Expectations and procedures for working with students
- Volunteer procedures for band events
- Open booster committee positions and opportunities to get involved
Whether you’re a veteran band volunteer or this is your first year helping out, this training is required before you can work with our students or volunteer in a band capacity.
Get Your Student’s Paperwork Done, Too!
We’re making these meetings a one-stop shop for getting your volunteer requirements and your student’s paperwork taken care of!
Once you sign up in CutTime events for the training session you plan to attend, I’ll have a packet containing your student’s required band paperwork waiting for you when you arrive. Please be sure to register for the meeting of your choice in CutTime so we can have your packet ready.
We’ll also have notaries on hand for any required forms that need to be notarized. Please bring a blue or black pen and a photo ID!
If you bring everything you need, you can attend your required volunteer training and potentially leave with 100% of your student’s required band paperwork completed for the year.
One meeting. One paperwork packet. One less thing on your to-do list!
Can’t Make Any of the Three Dates?
If you are unable to attend any of the three scheduled sessions, please contact:

We’ll do our best to find a date and time that works for you.
Thank you to all of the grown-ups who volunteer their time, energy, and talents to support the BTWHS Mighty Marching Wildcats. Our program simply could not operate without you!
We appreciate you—and we’re looking forward to another great year together!
